Sympathy

Florist in Havering for sympathy and funeral flowers

Whether you’re attending a burial or cremation ceremony in Essex, sending a funeral flower delivery is a kind-hearted gesture. Saying goodbye is a very personal time to everyone involved. So that I can create the best style of funeral flowers possible, I will be available to talk to you from the start to discuss your requirements. This will allow me to craft a beautiful funeral tribute with which you can pay your last respect.

I can discuss your funeral flower needs with you in person, over the phone or via video call. Whatever way suits you and your family best, I can work around you. I will then email you my tribute ideas.

When I meet customers they often say, ‘we have never arranged funeral flowers before’ and that’s understandable. I can guide you through the process of making the right choices for saying goodbye and making the flower arrangements personal.

What’s the difference between funeral flowers and sympathy flowers?

Flowers for the funeral service go to the funeral directors. Sympathy flowers go to the home and family of the deceased.

What are traditional funeral flowers?

Traditional funeral flowers include posies, cushions, arrangements, wreaths and sheaves. Popular funeral flowers include white lilies or roses. Roses are a symbol of love, whilst lilies often feature in funerals because it can symbolise transience and death. They are also a symbol of innocence which has been restored to the soul of the deceased person.

How much should you spend on funeral flowers?

Flowers for a funeral do not need to be expensive. How much you spend on funeral flowers is a personal choice. If you had a very close relationship with the deceased or were related, you might want to purchase a more impressive arrangement or a wreath instead of a small funeral posy.

What is the best flower colour for funeral?

White is a customary funeral colour, but is often combined with other shades like pink, red or yellow.

If you would like to pay tribute to your loved one by including their favourite colours in the theme, just let me know.

Floral tributes – what happens on the day?

I will let you know when the flowers are ready to be delivered by giving you a quick call or message. If you are unable to attend the ceremony, I can send you a photo of the finished creation.

Julie has done the flowers for my fathers funeral. The personal service I received at such a devastating time was truly amazing. She came to our home, took the pressure from me and my brother and created an absolutely amazing spray and lettered displays for us. I can not recommend Julie enough. Thank you xx
